Yakima – Holdup Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Reviews

Having lots of bikes to take along for your trip can be a real hassle as it no doubt will not fit inside your bike. Purchasing a car rack is what you need, but for one that can accommodate four bikes at the same time, they do cost an arm and a leg. Unless you are capable of spending 1000 dollars for a rack, the Yakima HoldUp hitch can help you with it.

The Yakima manufacturer has recently launched a new product called HoldUp for a car having a 1.25″ or 2″ receiver. With just only 449 dollars, carrying two bikes on your vehicle will no longer pose a challenge for you. Yakima also offers an upgrade for a four-bike version of this HoldUp in case your car has a 2” hitch, which will add in roughly 329 dollars in addition.

After the unboxing, some assembling will need to be done before you can put this rack into use. However, don’t worry too much about it. All you have to do is roll the bolt to mount the base into the hitch, then mount the tray to the base with the other eight small bolts that would only take you around an hour at max. But if you are familiar with these things, then you only need 15 to unpack and finish assembling all components.
